Sir Alex Ferguson will consider giving Nani his first Premier League start at Old Trafford for three months to try to restore the X-factor to Manchester United's title challenge.
Ferguson was fuming with his players after their 1-0 defeat at Wigan on Wednesday night gave Manchester City fresh hope, having been eight points adrift of their cross-city rivals a week ago.
Portugal winger Nani, who has missed much of the year with damaged ankle ligaments, is a strong possibility to face Aston Villa on Sunday after impressing off the substitutes' bench in midweek.
