Exculsive ; interview with Young Red Defender Fryers

It was a massive night for me. It was quality and a massive step up, so I was happy to get 80 minutes in,” he told the official  MUFC.777.COM
"I had to come off with a bit of cramp so now it’s all about working hard with the Reserves and getting fitter so that I’m ready for whenever these chances might come again.”
Fellow youth stars Paul Pogba and Larnell Cole also got their first starts for the senior side, and Fryers admitted that having his teammates around him was a big confidence boost for a game that United desperately wanted to win to get revenge over their rivals for a 1-0 defeat 18 months ago.
“It was good to have Larnell and Pogba alongside me when they came on," he said. "We have been playing together for a long time, so this was massive for all of us.”
Ferguson is well known for rotating his squad for Carling Cup matches, and the United manager wanted to give his youngsters a chance to shine. And with performances full of potential from the trio, fans will no doubt be excited at the prospect of Ferguson creating yet another generation of talented players
