Sir Alex Ferguson last night blasted his Manchester United slackers, claiming: "We threw the game away."
Fergie was angry that United needed a last-minute equaliser from Ashley Young to salvage a point against Basle after blowing a 2-0 lead.

United are third in Group C with just two points and Ferguson fumed: "We were careless.
"They had two or three opportunities in the first half and I warned them at half-time that it wasn't all over and that we had to finish the game off.
"But a lack of concentration killed us. We threw the game away. After a really good first half, we were left grappling at the end to get a result and at least we rescued a point.
"It's a wake-up call for us. When you lose a 2-0 lead at home you have to look at your defenders and midfielders. We've got to be better than this in terms of concentration.
"You can have ability, but if you relax, the quality of the Champions League can make you suffer. But there is great character in this side and we showed that again tonight."
Ferguson also wasn't happy with referee Paolo Tagliavento's decision to award Basle a penalty for their third goal for a foul by Antonio Valencia on Marco Streller.
"I don't think it was a penalty," said the United manager. "You could see quite clearly Valencia won the ball. It was a poor decision as far as I'm concerned, disappointing.
"The referee kept getting in the road of the game. I don't know how many times there was a pass and he got in the way. I think he wanted to play!"
Danny Welbeck claimed the dramatic draw felt like a loss - even though his two goals have earned him a place in Fabio Capello's England squad to play Montenegro on Friday week.
"Definitely, it feels like a defeat," said the striker. "We started the game so well and went in 2-0 up. Manchester United should be finishing games like this off and it's just not like us.
"We came out for the second half and we started brightly and we should have pushed on.
"They got two goals back and then got a penalty to go in front. Although we equalised late on, we are still very disappointed with the result tonight.
"We've just got to get back on to the training ground and get on with it.
"Credit to them and they passed the ball well and played it out from the back well, but we still should have put the game away. We are very disappointed."
