Sneijder: 'I never wanted Man Utd'
Wesley Sneijder admits Inter pushed him towards Manchester United, “but I didn’t want to leave. I’m happy here.”
The Dutchman had been very close to Old Trafford over the summer, while there was also interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.
“I never thought about leaving,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “When I was on vacation the club called my agent and said they needed money, so wanted to sell me.
“This is the only reason I spoke to Manchester United, which everyone knows I did. Then Samuel Eto’o was sold to Anzhi and nothing more came of it. I don’t know of any interest from City.
“I’m happy that I got to stay
