Manchester United fear midfielder Anderson could miss the rest of the season after badly damaging his hamstring in training last week.
The Brazilian has endured an injury-affected season but was hoping to play a role in another Barclays Premier League title run-in until bad luck struck again.
United are still awaiting results of hospital scans but the feeling is that the former Porto midfielder faces a long lay-off.
