Breaking NEWS '; FERGIE HITS OUT AT UNITED FANS
Sir Alex answers midfield critics
Sir Alex Ferguson has responded strongly to criticism of United's midfield and insists he will never make knee-jerk signings aimed at strengthening his team.
In an interview with MUTV, screened on Countdown to Kick-off on Friday evening, the Reds boss was informed that the subject of central midfield had generated plenty of recent debate on the club's TV channel, with some disgruntled fans demanding new signings.
Sir Alex responded by arguing there was "no point" in rushing into the transfer market and that, in fact, the champions have coped remarkably well given the number of injuries in the squad this term, not just in midfield but also at the back.
"Criticism is fine as long as it's balanced," the manager declared. "Anderson and Tom Cleverley have been injured and those two, in particular, have tremendous potential – they’re fantastic young players. So we're missing two very important cogs in the machine.
"Darren Fletcher has had his issues and Michael Carrick has been injured a few times, so we're trying to achieve a consistent midfield operation.
"And it's not just the midfield – you've also got to look at the back four, which we've been changing all the time. We've done exceptionally well in spite of that.
"Everyone's saying 'go out and buy a central midfield player'. Well, I would do that if he were a Manchester United player. If we'd seen a young Bryan Robson or Roy Keane, we'd have been the first there. The possibilities of improving our team are not lost on us."

We Told you so '; Rooney Returns
Mufc.777.com brought you an Exclusive two nights ago saying Rooney would Train yesterday which he did and full Traing today and back Tomorrow as we said fergie told the media today
Wayne Rooney is expected to return from injury for United’s Barclays Premier League clash against high-flying Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Reds’ top-scorer sustained a hip injury in the win at Swansea last weekend which forced him to miss the midweek draw with Benfica, leading to speculation he could also be out this weekend.
But Sir Alex confirmed Rooney should return for the encounter with Alan Pardew’s men, though the rest of the news on the injury front wasn’t so positive, with Anderson set to be out until February with a knee injury.
"I think Wayne Rooney should be okay for tomorrow," the boss told his Friday press conference. "He trained yesterday so hopefully he'll be okay.
"We've got Vidic back after suspension, of course. Smalling is fit again, which is also a boost, and Rafael's back as well. So the defensive part is okay. Michael Owen's also still injured, of course.
"It's in the midfield area where we've still got issues, with Tom Cleverley and Anderson. So that's two midfield players who are going to be missing for a spell now."
Newcastle are riding high in the league and only suffered their first defeat of the campaign against leaders Manchester City last weekend.
Sir Alex is a confirmed admirer of Pardew and believes his opposite number can take much credit for the Magpies’ current healthy position.

Fergie were Looking at two our 3 player but
Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted that he is chasing 'two or three' players in preparation as the January transfer window falls upon the Premier League, but the Manchester United manager believes that they won't be available until next summer at least.

The club have been connected with a wide range of players, particularly to fulfil the midfield position left vacant by Paul Scholes at the end of last season, and while Ferguson is often coy at best on who he will sign, the Scot has admitted he has some targets in mind.
Wesley Sneijder in particular was linked with a move to United in the summer, but a deal never eventuated for the playmaker. Since the transfer window closed, the likes of Mario Gotze, Christian Eriksen and Kwadwo Asamoah have all been connected to the Red Devils as the January window rolls around.
But Ferguson said that while he has some ideas over who he wants to sign to improve the United squad, they won't be available in January, with summer targets looking more likely to be on Ferguson's wishilst.

"It is easy to say you are going to buy players but it is not easy to buy them for Manchester United, especially in January," he said.
"I do not see anyone who could make us a better team.
"There are two or three players but they are not available, so there is no point even going there."
Ferguson will no doubt keep fans and pundits alike guessing over which players the manager is targeting, with United historically secretive about which footballers they consider to be Old Trafford material.
Mario Gotze is an obvious name that will come up, with Borussia Dortmund insisting yesterday that they won't sell their prized gem until next season at least. Gotze is an Arsenal target, but has also been fielding interest from United for some time. His young age, coupled with skills in the midfield and up front, make him an apt target for the Red Devils as Ferguson considers adding to his young squad.
And Eriksen would also be a likely target for the club, but the 19 year old's contract with Ajax doesn't end until summer in 2014, meaning the club can drive a hard bargain for his signature if

Tomorrow Mail '; ' Blatter to resign
Fresh calls for Blatter to resign after racism blunder as Suarez is finally charged
By Matt Lawton and Ian LadymanLast updated at 11:44 PM on 16th November 2011
In a statement the FA said Liverpool's Suarez had been charged for allegedly making 'a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra'.
Charged: It is claimed Suarez racially abused Evra last month
But when FIFA president Blatter was asked for his view on the issue in a series of interviews, he gave an astonishing response.
Under fire: Suarez has strenuously denied the claims
'I would deny it,' he said. 'There is no racism, there is maybe one of the players towards another, he has a word or a gesture which is not the correct one, but also the one who is affected by that, he should say that this is a game.
Eye of the storm: Sepp Blatter embraces FIFA member Tokyo Sexwhale
To a reporter from Al-Jazeera he simply compounded the situation.
'During a match you may say something to somebody who is not exactly looking like you,' he said. 'But at the end... it's forgotten.'
Blatter first tried to repair the damage on his official Twitter page, without much success.
Centre of attention: England captain Terry has been accused of aiming racially abusive language at Ferdinand
His statement said: 'I would like to make it very clear, I am committed to the fight against racism and any type of discrimination in football and in society. I also know that racism unfortunately continues to exist in football, and I have never denied this... my comments have been misunderstood.'
ASTONISHED RIO'S TWEET FURY
'Tell me I have just read Sepp Blatter's comments on racism in football wrong... if not then I am astonished.'
'I feel stupid for thinking that football was taking a leading role against racism... it seems it was just on mute for a while.'
'Just for clarity if a player abuses a referee, does a shake of the hand after the game wipe the slate clean??'
Last night, the latest storm to engulf FIFA's president was being digested by Sports Minister Hugh Robertson and the FA.
But there was condemnation from Football Against Racism In Europe, who described Blatter's comments as 'insensitive and not what you want to hear from someone who should be leading the game'.
PFA chief Gordon Taylor condemned Blatter's comments, saying: 'It's very insensitive and inappropriate at this time. As the president of FIFA he's got to be shouting from the top of the hills that it's unacceptable.'
Rio Ferdinand, the former England captain and brother of Anton, was one of several footballers to express his considerable dismay on his Twitter page.
Investigation: Terry is awaiting his outcome
Manchester United's Evra claimed, after the 1-1 draw between the two great North West rivals, that Suarez called him a 'n****r' at least 10 times, a claim that is believed to have been backed up by some of the Frenchman's team-mates during the exhaustive interviews that followed.
Suarez himself broke cover earlier this month, claiming that the word he used was similar to that used by United players when referring to Evra.
There was also a suggestion that he may have used the word 'negrito', a term that is not considered offensive in his native South America.
A Liverpool club statement said: 'We will discuss the matter fully with him but he will plead not guilty and we expect him to request a personal hearing. Luis remains determined to clear his name.'

I have got a feeling that Blatter is on his way out. But who will succeed him? The race could be between 3 horses which are Tony blair, Silvio Berlusconi and Carlo Ancelotti.
