Manchester United step up pursuit of Bolton Wanderers ace Cahill

According to reports Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.

Cahill is out of contract next June and can therefore leave the club for free.

The England international has been linked with both Tottenham and Chelsea while Arsenal were reportedly interested in the summer.

It is understood United are looking to land the England international and are now eyeing a January move given the loss of Nemanja Vidic for the rest of the season.
