Bryan Robson has branded Patrick Vieira "out of order" for his attack on Paul Scholes.
Vieira enraged Sir Alex Ferguson by sayingthe decision to bring Scholes out of retirement smacked of "desperation" by Manchester United.
Ferguson responded by criticising Manchester City's decision to bring Carlos Tevez backafter he walked out on them for three months.
Ex-United skipper Robson said: "City were trying to have a go at Scholes coming back.

"I think Vieira is totally out of order in what he said.
"The boss came back straight away and he was dead right in whathesaid [about Tevez].
"If Tevez had been playing for us, there's no way the gaffer would have given him a game this season.
"It doesn't matter how good you are. How can you go off for three months like that?"
