WOLVES will offer Cork City striker Graham Cummins a crack at Premier League football as Mick McCarthy has invited the in-form forward to Molineux for a trial this week.
McCarthy has already shown that he's willing to take a chance on League of Ireland players as he signed Stephen Ward and Matt Doherty from Bohemians, while other LOI stars such as Ronan Finn, Shaun Williams and Christopher Forrester have also been to the club on trial.
Cummins, who previously had a trial at Roy Keane's Sunderland, is sought-after following a season which saw him score 24 league goals for Division One champions Cork City, and McCarthy is keen to see the 23-year-old up close.
Meanwhile, bookmakers in Scotland have already made Michael O'Neill the favourite to take over as manager of SPL side Hibernians.
But rival League of Ireland bosses Paul Cook and Pat Fenlon could also come into the frame for the job at Easter Road.
Hibs yesterday sacked Colin Calderwood and the club will move quickly for a replacement, and O'Neill's name has already been heavily linked with the job.
O'Neill's stock is very high after his success in leading Shamrock Rovers to a second successive league title as well as guiding the Hoops into the group stages of the Europa League, and Hibs would be attracted by the fact that O'Neill is out of contract next month, so there would be no repeat of the row over compensation which prevented Bohs boss Fenlon from taking the Dundee United job last year.
