Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has confirmed that the Istanbul giants are considering a January move for Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov.
The Bulgarian's contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, leading to speculation that the 30-year-old's time with the Premier League champions could soon come to an end.
September signing Sercan Yildirim has been largely disappointing since his move, and speaking to Hurriyet, Unal confirmed that Berbatov is a potential target.
"We're not just looking at Berbatov: we're interested in a number of players," he said.
"Yes, we're thinking of forwards, but now is far too early.
"We can only get in contact and decide at the end of December, when the time comes. We have four or five players players in mind.
"But we can't say that we want to buy any player because we have not decided yet."
Despite their 0-0 draw with newly promoted Mersin Idman Yurdu on Saturday, Galatasaray sit in third place, just three points behind city rivals Fenerbahce.
