Klaas-Jan Huntelaar 'eyed by Man Utd as Dimitar Berbatov replacement'
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as a possible replacement for Dimitar Berbatov.

The Dutch hitman has rediscovered his form following unsuccessful spells at Real Madrid and AC Milan, and United are now monitoring his situation with Berbatov seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford.
Huntelaar has hit an impressive 16 goals in 18 appearances this season, but with his contract due to expire in 2013, Schalke may be forced to cash in on the striker in January rather than risk losing him on the cheap in the summer.
Berbatov meanwhile, looks to be no closer to agreeing a new deal with United, and with Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck ahead of him in the pecking order, there appears to be no future for the 30-year-old under Sir Alex Ferguson beyond this season.
The Bulgarian is out of contract in July, and United will surely be keen to recoup some of the £30million they spent on him back in 2008, meaning a swap deal with Schalke for Huntelaar could well be on the cards.
Huntelaar, 28, was signed by the Bundesliga outfit for £10million from AC Milan back on the August transfer deadline day in 2010.
