United, two points behind neighbours and title rivals City, host the Premier League leaders on Sunday with Ferguson acknowledging the magnitude of the game.

Asked if it was the biggest Manchester derby since he took over United a quarter of a century ago, Fergie said: "Yes, I think so.
"With them top and us second, it builds up to a fantastic prospect for everyone. I'm looking forward to it."
Wayne Rooney scored twice from the penalty spot last night as United finally got their Champions League campaign going with a victory.
Rooney took his goal tally for the season to 11 but United's win was marred by a straight red card for returning skipper Nemanja Vidic.
Vidic, making his first appearance for United since suffering a calf injury on August 14, was dismissed for a high challenge in the 66th-minute.
Although Ferguson felt the decision was harsh, he said it was unlikely United would appeal it, with Vidic set to serve a one-match ban.
"I've looked at it and Nemanja's foot was certainly high," said Ferguson.
"It was a bit harsh. But his foot was high and it was certainly a booking.
"I shouldn't think we'll appeal."
After drawing their opening two group games against Benfica and Basle, Ferguson admitted it was vital for United to claim three points.
"We're pleased after drawing the first two games," said Ferguson. "We've acquired a victory and we're happy with that."
