Man Utd leading the way in battle to land £25 Million AC Milan star

AC Milan’s Brazilian defender Thiago Silva could make a move to the Premier League in January, with Manchester United emerging as favourites to sign the player according to reports emerging in Italy.
Thiago has impressed since his move from Fluminense in 2009, with the player recently named captain of AC Milan ahead of their win against Chievo, he has attracted interest from Sir Alex Ferguson who looks towards a replacement for Rio Ferdinand who is finding himself increasingly under pressure.
Silva has appeared for AC Milan on 17 occasions this season, and his impressive form has led to many Italian media outlets predicting that he will make a January move to the Premier League with Manchester United in the frame, however there has been reported interest from Chelsea who look to boost their defence.
The 27-year-old would not come cheap with AC Milan valuing the player close to £25 million, however there could be a late move from Manchester City who could make a straight swap for Carlos Tevez.
