Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he wants to lift the Champions League trophy this season, with the playmaker currently making a comeback from injury.
Sneijder suffered a groin problem a fortnight ago, but hopes to be back in action for Inter Milan next weekend when they take on Catania.
And while Sneijder is still being connected to a move to United, the 27-year-old is hopeful that Inter can win the Champions League again this season, after he won the trophy with the Serie A club in 2010.

"When I saw Patrick Kluivert lift the Champions League with Ajax, I said to myself, 'I want that too'," Sneijder said.
"Thanks to Inter, I achieved that wish. I have managed all my objectives at club level and now want to win with Holland, but obviously I want to win it with Inter again. Winning trophies is something you never get accustomed to."
Inter have suffered a particularly disappointing start to the season, with the club currently 17th on the La Liga table, and have collected just four points from five games.
While new coach Claudio Ranieri hopes to turn things around at the club, if inter don’t challenge for trophies this season, Sneijder , valued by the Daily mirror at £35 million, will no doubt be back on United’s radar come January, particularly if United perform as well on the European stage as they did this season
