Javier Hernandez is set to have his pay day tripled, according to the Daily Star, with the striker to earn up to £80,000 a week in a new deal set up by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Hernandez has been sensational since the Mexico international made the move to English football at the beginning of last season, and has attracted attention from numerous European clubs as a result.
And United are hoping to tie the striker down for the long term, and make sure he knows he’s appreciated by the Red Devils.
Hernandez has continually insisted that his future is with United after they showed faith and gave him a chance last season, and Ferguson is now ready to reward the starlet’s good work with a raise from his current £25,000 a week wage.
Hernandez’s ability to play alongside Wayne Rooney is also a big strength for the United squad, with Rooney hitting top form for the club this season with the 23-year-old to back him up.
